Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma with large B-cell pattern in parotid gland

Abstract

Introduction: Lymphomas are a heterogeneous group of malignant diseases characterized by neoplastic proliferation of the lymphoreticular portion of the reticuloendothelial system. Primary salivary gland lymphomas are rare, accounting for 4.7% or up to 5% of lymphomas at all sites.

Objective: to describe a clinical case with diagnosis of non-Hodking Lymphoma with large cell B pattern in parotid gland.

Clinical Case: a 4-year-old male patient presented to the Maxillofacial Department due to an increase in volume in the parotid region on the right side, with spontaneous pain and occasional local discoloration change, but without general symptoms.

Conclusions: Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma with large B-cell pattern of the parotid gland is a rare pathology, for which it is important to know this entity, and to take into account the aspects related to the interrogation, physical examination, studies complementary, to obtain useful information, which allows to carry out an adequate treatment.
