Abstract

Introduction: Reconstruction after excision of carcinomas located in the nasal tip represents a cosmetic-surgical challenge. Knowledge of the anatomy and the different surgical techniques that can be used in the reconstruction of the head and neck allows planning the reconstruction of defects after oncological resection or trauma.

Objective: To expose the usefulness of the nasolabial non-tunnelled pedicled flap for the reconstruction of a defect in the nasal tip after removal of basal cell carcinoma.

Case presentation: Male patient, 75 years old, with a health history, who attended a maxillofacial consultation referring to previous ablative surgery in the nasal tip region, performed in another hospital institution, approximately a month ago, where closure was not performed. primary wound and decide to heal by secondary intention.

Conclusions: Knowledge of the different pedicled flaps that can be used in head and neck reconstruction, as well as the various indications for each of them, allows planning the reconstruction of defects after oncological resection or trauma.
